  • Q When you select our products, you should consider the following facter:

    A
    1. The composition of your workpieces and your workpiece material types
    2. The hardness of your workpiece materials
    3. The polishing effect you need on the workpieces
    4. The area and shape of your workpieces
    5. The RPM of your polishing machine
    6. The details of your polishing processes
  • Q How to select and use our products properly?

    A
    • Abrasives: We mainly use Silicon Carbide and Aluminum Oxide grains. The characteristics of Silicon Carbide are harder, shaper, and more efficient and it can form better scratch patterns on most workpiece surfaces. Aluminum Oxide is tougher, more durable, and it have better cutting rate on certain applications such as hardened steel. Grit size selection should be based on the actual test and experience.

    • Density: Normally, the density(hardness) will be greater, if the weight of the wheel is bigger. But strictly speaking, it also depend on the combination of abrasive, glue and fiber. Under the same conditions, harder wheels cut faster, last longer and can form smooth finishing. Softer wheels offer greater conformability and less tendency to load or burn the workpiece.

    • Color: Generally, color is associated with the type of abrasive used, such as green using green silicon carbide.  For different workpieces with different materials need different abrasive, we should choose the color according to your workpiece material. But sometimes, we will add some pigment according  to our customers' preference.

    • Size: The size(diameter and width) depends on the workpiece and machine, and the shape and diameter of the core mainly depend on the shaft of the machine.

    • Maximum wheel life and best surface conditioning results can be achieved by closely adhering to the following recommendations.

    • Speed: Speed is an important factor. It will affect the finishing effect, efficiency, and wheel life. The actual speed is decided by the workpiece material and finishing effect you need. Never exceed the maximum R.P.M. rating of the wheel.

    • Direction: Convolute Wheels must always be run in the direction  indicated by the arrow printed on the side of each wheel. Other kind of Wheels have no direction limited.

    • Pressure: Mild or medium pressure is recommended for most operations. Flap Wheels require much lighter pressure to perform properly than other wheels. In all case, try to avoid imposing too much pressure so as to avoid deformation or damage to the wheel and the workpiece surface.

    • Oscillation: Oscillation can lead to discontinuous scratch lines and uneven surface.
